Faker, arguably the best <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/league-of-legends\/\" title=\"League of Legends esports\">League of Legends<\/a> player, picked Ahri every time he could.<\/p>\n<p>As the nerfs came and the seasons changed, Ahri lost her attractiveness. Her damage was not good anymore and her mobility was not enough against fast opponents. The last time Ahri made it to the competitive stage was in the 2017 Summer Split.<\/p>\n<p>This champion is slowly climbing the ladder in Korea. According to Op.gg, on patch 8.3 she was 18th on the pick rate, on patch 8.7 she is 7th. That standing will improve once patch 8.8 hits servers around the world.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if the rework will officially happen in patch 8.8. However, on the PBE server, players can already taste Ahri\u2019s new power.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Passive:<\/strong> Ahri will have a new passive. The Essence Theft stacked and after 9 charges it healed her. It was changed for the Vastayan Grace. If Ahri hits a champion with 2 spells in 1.5 seconds, she will receive 20% movement speed. The effect lasts for 3 seconds and has a 9 seconds cooldown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Orb of Deception (Q):<\/strong> This ability will now generate the Essence Theft stacks. After stacking 9 hits, Ahri will heal the next time she lands the Q.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fox-Fire (W):<\/strong> The mana cost went from 50 to 40. Before, this attack went to the nearest target. Now it has a priority system. The Fox-Fire will go to the most recent victim of Charm. If that champion is not in the fight, Fox-Fire will go for the nearest enemy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charm (E):<\/strong> The damage went down from 60\/95\/130\/165\/200 to 60\/90\/120\/150\/180. Due to the new effect, every time a champion is damaged by charm, they will receive 20% more damage from Ahri for 5 seconds.\n<li><strong>Spirit Rush (R):<\/strong> The damage was modified and went from 70\/110\/150 (+25% AP) to 60\/90\/120 (35% AP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Will Ahri be over powered? Of course she will! The E plus W combo is now deathly. Ahri can tag an enemy with Charm and it will become the priority for Fox-Fire. Enemies better learn how to dodge Ahri\u2019s E because it will make them vulnerable to damage for 5 seconds.<\/li>\n<p>The Mid-Season Invitational is the first international event of the year. The tournament will happen on patch 8.8. The official date for patch 8.8 is yet to be announced but it should happen before May 5 when the Mid-Season Invitational is set to start.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the event, <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/why-south-korea-treats-players-like-celebrities\/\">Korean players<\/a> are giving high priority to picks like Yasuo and Karma on the mid lane. It means that odd picks are not out of the question.
