The dismissed coaches include onstage presences like Earl \u201cRigby\u201d Han, Gabriel \u201cTurtle\u201d Peixoto, as well as Sebastian \u201cZzLegendary\u201d Demontigny, and Connor \u201cArtemis\u201d Doyle.<\/p>\n<div class=\" embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An update on our League of Legends Coaching Staff: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rF2MdYWtFl\">pic.twitter.com\/rF2MdYWtFl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Evil Geniuses (@EvilGeniuses) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EvilGeniuses\/status\/1585436121370173442?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 27, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Evil Geniuses had an incredible 2022 season run in League of Legends and qualified for two international tournaments after participating in the playoffs. During the Spring Split, the North American franchise won the LCS event and earned their first domestic championship.<\/p>\n<p>Evil Geniuses\u2019 also earned a spot in the top four teams after their performance in the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/league-of-legends\/mid-season-invitational\/\">Mid-Season Invitational<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The squad was placed third in the Summer Split earlier this year and gave an impressive performance during the play-in stage of the 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/league-of-legends\/worlds\/\">League of Legends World Championship<\/a>, although they were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Less than a day before Evil Geniuses\u2019 announcement, reports claimed that Peter Dun, who previously coached the organization\u2019s LEC squad, had plans to move back to Europe to guide Team Heretics. <\/p>\n<p>The team had a short, unsuccessful stint in the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/league-of-legends\/championship-series\/\">LEC<\/a> in 2017 and left to put more resources into building their other esports ventures like <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/valorant\/\">Valorant<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/call-of-duty\/\">Call of Duty<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Team Heretics ended their five-year absence from the LEC in 2022 when they purchased Cream Real Betis\u2019 spot Superliga and became the newest addition to the League.<\/p>\n<p>Dun\u2019s departure from Evil Geniuses was announced earlier this month. The organization bid the former head of the coaching staff goodbye after they were eliminated from the World Championships group stage.<\/p>\n<p>The former head of the coaching staff joined the organization in 2020 as the head coach and transitioned at the start of 2022. Dun helped Evil Geniuses win their first League Champions Series championship and guided them to their first appearances at the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship during his stint with them.<\/p>\n<p>Evil Geniuses\u2019 decision to clear out their core coaching staff came as a shock to the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/\">esports community<\/a>, especially with how much success they achieved this season. The organization\u2019s coaching staff helped place the groundwork for the team\u2019s impressive players to achieve longtime success in the North American region.<\/p>\n<p>Evil Geniuses are yet to indicate interest in any future replacements for their currently vacant positions both in their coaching staff and starting roster.<\/p>\n<p>The squad faced some issues during the World Championship after AD carry Kyle \u201cDanny\u201d Sakamaki, part of their starting lineup, was unable to compete due to a personal issue.
