FlyQuest announced yesterday the departure of the company’s Chief Executive Officer for four years, Tricia Sugita. This definitely must have been a tough decision for her to have forfeited her position having served for this long period of time. Sugita started her journey with the company in January 2018, not long after the company had secured a membership spot with the North American League Championship Series.

In the period of 2018, Sugita had walked her through to the top from Chief Operating Officer to the position of Chief Executive Officer in a period of two years. She made an impact in all the departments that she could. Prior to her employment in FlyQuest Sugita has exercised her expertise in organizations such as, Azubu, Immortals, and IGN.

Following the departure, Flyquest took to their Twitter page to say:

“With a heavy heart, we say goodbye today to our leader @megumumixbear. We know Tricia will continue to #ShowcaseGreatness in her next chapter. Thank you for everything- you are and will always be part of our family.”

In a ‘thank you’ video made by Sunita and reposted on FlyQuest Twitter account, she had expressed her gratitude of having to serve in the company, saying that she will miss the entirety of the establishment.

“I have made a very difficult decision to step down as CEO of FlyQuest. It has been my greatest honor and privilege to work with all the amazing people at FlyQuest, and one of the best team in esports for over four years. And together we’ve been able to accomplish great many things. She added,

“All the things that we’ve been able to achieve together such as our company vision of showcase greatness, the believe that greatness already exist within everyone and we want to help them find and showcase it.”

Sunita’s leadership regime marked a very competitive period for the team, as they have been strong contenders in the League Championship Series. One of the organization’s proud moments was in 2020 when its League of Legend team made it to second place at the Spring and Summer Splits just before they attended Worlds in the same year.

FlyQuest also has squads in Apex Legends, Rocket League, and PUBG, as well as two competitive Smash Bros. Melee players.

Sugita was the driving force behind a number of mind-blowing FlyQuest projects, including the Showcase Greatness initiative. She was also the braon behind the numerous “Go Green” campaigns that raised thousands of dollars for forest, coral reef, and bee conservation. FlyQuest has incorporated a green theme throughout its logo, leading in some of the most distinctive esports jerseys and gear with flowery designs. She said in her exiting video clip:

“To launching our Go Green initiative, several campaigns such as TreeQuest, SeaQuest, BeeQuest, and MeQuest, where we plant the trees, save the bees and the sea, which has really brought attention to mental health awareness which is very important to everyone here at FlyQuest.”

On June 17, the FlyQuest League squad, which includes Johnsun, Kumo, Aphromoo, toucouille, and Josedeodo, will kick off their 2022 League Championship Series Summer Split campaign against the Golden Guardians. FlyQuest finished in the top six of the Spring Split, but were defeated in the playoffs by Evil Geniuses in the finals.
