The League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) has rarely produced competitive teams on the international stage. So even though FlyQuest only really struggled against Team Liquid in the LCS, their domestic success doesn’t mean much on the international stage.

It can’t be overstated how stacked PSG Talon are, and while they’re rightly priced as favourites, even at -119.05, they’re very cheap. They field better players who are far more experienced on the international stage, and they’ve performed better throughout the split in a tougher league.

This could be the biggest mismatch of the tournament as LoL World Championship title holders T1 take on Liga Latinoam��rica (LLA) champions Estral Esports. The underdogs are given a 6.4% implied probability of upsetting the Korean giants, so it’s easy to see how the game should end.

Movistar R7’s elimination came at the hands of the Vietnamese team GAM Esports.

DFM’s journey in the tournament also came to an abrupt end after they faced the European representative, Team BDS.

Team BDS had previously been pushed to the lower bracket following an unexpected reverse sweep by Vietnam’s Team Whales in the upper bracket.

GAM Esports and Movistar R7 will clash on Thursday, October 12, in Group A Losers’ Bracket after both teams suffered heavy losses in the first round of the League of Legends Worlds 2023 Play-In Stage. GAM Esports got humiliated by LOUD (0-2), while Movistar R7 proved to be no match for the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) champions, Talon Esports.

Due to how badly GAM Esports and Movistar R7 played on Tuesday, it’s difficult to take much from the first two games�� at least, it’s hard to find many positives. GAM Esports were a bit more competitive on the second map of the series, but they made way too many mistakes to feel overly confident in their chances to deliver even against a weaker opponent.

Movistar R7 got smashed by PSG Talon, but unlike GAM, Movistar R7 didn’t let the game get completely out of hand. That doesn’t make LLA representatives a better team, but the eye test proves that Movistar R7 played better than GAM Esports.

GAM Esports still fields better players, which could give them the edge needed to come out ahead. But based on what they showed on Tuesday, GAM shouldn’t be priced as 1.40 favourites with BetOnline.

LOUD and GAM Esports return to an international stage after both teams failed to achieve much at the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 in May. GAM Esports ended the tournament in last place, while LOUD placed 10th-11th with one win against DetonatioN FocusMe.

Like the first match of the day, this is a clash between two minor-region teams, but we can say that the Vietnamese and Brazilian leagues are fairly even quality-wise. Another thing worth remembering is that both regions are known for their aggressive playstyle.

This match can go both ways, but we can be sure the series will be bloody. LOUD have averaged 15.6 kills and 12.1 deaths per game, while GAM Esports are at 17.5 kills and 13 deaths per game this season. This, combined with the fact that both teams are bad at closing out games, makes over 29.5 kills an inviting bet, with this option available at many different esports betting sites.

The franchise made the revelation via Twitter, making Su “Hanabi” Chia-hsiang, Wong “Unified” Chun-kit, Ling “Kaiwing” Kai-wing, Jeong “Burry” Seung-hwan, and Kim “Gori” Tae-woo all unrestricted free agents.

“Today we part ways with our 2022 roster,” the team announced.

“Every player, from veterans Kaiwing, Unified and Hanabi to newcomers Gori and Burry, contributed greatly to the PSG Talon story!

“Thank you and hope we see you again on the rift!”

The only players left on the team’s lineup are top laner Huang ��Ahzi�� Shang-Jhih and mid laner Ng ��Pretender�� Cheuk Lun Jason. While Ahzi’s contract expires by the end of 2023, Pretender — who is currently on loan to Frank Esports — is contracted until 2024.

PSG Talon have experienced mixed fortunes this year. They won the 2022 PCS Spring Split after besting CTBC Flying Oyster in a best-of-five final. Having qualified for the Mid-Season Invitational, they failed to make it past the Rumble Stage, finishing in fifth place with a 3-7 record.

PSG Talon’s Summer Split started out well, as they led the group stage standings with a 14-4 record. In similar fashion to the Spring Split, they were sent to the lower bracket after being dealt a revenge defeat by the Flying Oyster, who went on to win the title.

Prior to this season, PSG Talon had never missed the League of Legends World Championship. However, they failed to make it to the 2022 Worlds, having suffered a defeat at the hands of Beyond Gaming in the PCS Summer Playoffs.

The Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of PSG Talon, Sean Zhang, shared his appreciation of the departing players in a video clip that was posted on the organization��s Twitter page.

��Massive thank you to our existing squad. All those boys have put in an amazing amount of work into 2022,” Zhang said.

“Many of them, partially Hanabi, Unified, and Kaiwing, who have been with us from the very early days at Talon, even before we were PSG Talon.”

��We want to wish those boys a massive thank you for all their effort, dedication, and work they have put in. They��ve brought amazing memories to our squad, not only in the PCS, but on the international stage at MSI and Worlds.”
