ThunderTalk Gaming finished LPL 2024 Summer Placements with a 1-5 record, but they deserve some slack as they had to face EDward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, and JD Gaming. Rare Atom placed third in Group C with a 3-3 record, with a victory against the inconsistent LNG Esports and two against Oh My God.
Neither squad showed anything exceptional last month, so it’s hard to justify Rare Atom as the favourites — especially considering ThunderTalk Gaming will have side choice for this affair.
In the current meta, winning a map from offside as a non-elite team is very difficult. So even though ThunderTalk are an inviting bet at outsider odds, siding with them on their map pick at even money is a much better choice.

JD Gaming won LPL 2024 Summer Placements Group A without suffering a single loss, whereas Weibo Gaming placed third in Group D with a disappointing 3-5 record.
Numbers-wise, Weibo performed well, but they consistently collapse once the laning phase ends. For the amount of individual talent on this roster, Weibo Gaming should’ve done better — and they eventually will, but it remains to be seen when.
Weibo Gaming closed as +225 underdogs with the best esports betting sites in their last meeting with JD Gaming in the LPL 2024 Spring Playoffs. They’re almost double that, so even considering Weibo’s lacklustre showings the previous month, their current price is too generous.

INVICTUS GAMING vs ULTRA PRIME LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Best Odds: | IG +139 at BetOnline | UP -181.82 at BetOnline |
When: | June 25, 2024 | 17:00 CST |

Ultra Prime defeated Invictus Gaming in the first week of LPL 2024 Summer Placements, and they’re expected to win again. UP have managed three wins in six outings this split, whereas IG have just one.
Invictus Gaming have given us very little to feel excited about, but the same can be said about Ultra Prime. Besides beating Invictus, their only other victories came against the inconsistent Weibo Gaming.
On Sunday, Ultra Prime lost to Anyone’s Legend in one of the worst-quality series of the split. They took one map, but that means very little based on what they showed on the day.
Despite what the teams’ records suggest, Invictus Gaming and Ultra Prime are relatively equal quality-wise. And considering UP are offside for this match, Invictus are a very inviting bet at +139 with the best esports betting sites.
WEIBO GAMING vs ANYONE’S LEGEND LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Best Odds: | WBG +138 at BetOnline | AL -181.82 at BetOnline |
When: | June 25, 2024 | 19:00 CST |

Anyone’s Legend have been up and down throughout LPL 2024 Summer Placements. They have beaten Ultra Prime (twice), Ninjas in Pyjamas (twice) and Invictus Gaming, but they’ve also had concerning showings against Weibo Gaming and Ultra Prime.
Even though Anyone’s Legend seem to be in a good position, they looked very questionable in two of their last three series, so perhaps they don’t deserve to be given a 64.5% implied probability of winning this series.
On the other hand, Weibo Gaming are unbelievably inconsistent despite having a high ceiling. Their transition from early to mid game is atrocious, and their decision-making is even worse.
Despite Weibo Gaming’s issues, there is nothing about the form of Anyone’s Legend that justifies their price. Take the generous odds for the outsiders to win.

LGD GAMING vs ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | LGD +118 at BetOnline | RNG -153.85 at BetOnline |
When: | June 18, 2024 | 17:00 CST |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
League of Legends bookmakers have priced LGD Gaming as +118 underdogs to defeat Royal Never Give Up, even though they won their last meeting on Friday. Interestingly, RNG closed as -123.46 favourites for that match with BetOnline and are now priced even shorter to get their revenge.
To make matters more confusing, Royal Never Give Up are in a pseudo-rebuild mode, trying out new players despite posting relatively good results against Team WE and Bilibili Gaming. While they have potential, RNG seem a bit overrated at the offered price.
LGD Gaming are not a good team, but they’re better than what the market suggests. LGD were severely underrated last split and it doesn’t seem that has changed, even though they showed some improvement last week.
Most notably, LGD Gaming managed to convert their leads against Royal Never Give Up last Friday, which is uncharacteristic of them. And while there’s no telling whether LGD have actually improved in that department, they beat RNG convincingly, and there’s no reason to believe they can’t do it again.
BILIBILI GAMING vs TEAM WE LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | BLG -769.23 at BetOnline | WE +457 at BetOnline |
When: | June 18, 2024 | 19:00 CST |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Bilibili Gaming have picked up three wins over the first two weeks of LPL 2024 Summer Placements. They swept Royal Never Give Up and LGD Gaming but had to dig a bit deeper to make it past Team WE, who took a map off them last Thursday.
Team WE received some help from Bilibili Gaming to win map one in that series, as BLG threw away a sizeable lead. Map two looked a bit more competitive, although Bilibili were in full control, whereas the third map started well for Team WE before they botched it.
Despite the loss, Team WE did a good job challenging Bilibili Gaming, which is worthy of praise — even though BLG are not at 100% yet.
LoL betting sites have Team WE at +133 to take a map on Tuesday, which is an excellent offer considering what we saw from them last week.

]]>Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports are set to fight for a ticket to the LPL 2024 Spring finals when they clash in the upper-bracket semis this Thursday.
The two Chinese LoL esports sides last met in the first match of the season, when Bilibili Gaming won 2-1. And according to the LoL betting odds, they should come out ahead again.
Bilibili Gaming ended the LPL 2024 Spring regular season as the clear best team in the league. They managed a 15-1 series record and an absurdly high 86% map win rate, which is a solid testament to how good they are.
Top Esports weren’t too far behind, with a 13-3 series record, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. They have improved significantly throughout the season, and with more than 2,500 gold difference at 20 minutes, they were second to only Bilibili Gaming at nearly 4,000 gold difference at the same time mark.
Comparing other performance metrics, the two teams are very close, but often Bilibili Gaming come out ahead. That includes Dragon (68.2%–61.2%) and Herald (62.9%–62%) control and gold difference per minute (285.5–252.8).
As two of three elite LPL teams, Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports are bound to produce a spectacle. However, even though Bilibili have better numbers entering the match, it’s hard to justify betting on them at the offered price.
Bilibili Gaming are stronger, but they’re not that much stronger. A fairer price would be closer to -142.86 on Bilibili and slightly over even money on Top Esports. So, at +137 with BetOnline, we’re getting a generous offer on the outsiders.

]]>The LoL Pro League (LPL) 2024 Spring Playoffs continue on Wednesday with Ninjas in Pyjamas looking to stage an upset when they tackle JD Gaming.
After defeating Team WE and FunPlus Phoenix, Ninjas in Pyjamas met their match when Bilibili Gaming beat them 3-1 in the fourth round of LPL 2024 Spring. NiP were stomped on maps one and three but outperformed Bilibili in the second map and got off to a very strong start on the fourth before throwing it all away.
Ninjas in Pyjamas played great and looked even better than they did against FunPlus Phoenix in their best performance of the split. But seeing them lose despite performing to the best of their ability only shows how big a gap there is between the top LPL teams and the rest.
JD Gaming took care of business in their first match of the playoffs when they swept Weibo Gaming, but they crumbled against Top Esports on Sunday in three maps. Despite what the final score suggests, the first two maps were incredibly close, so it’s not fair to say JDG are significantly worse than Top Esports.
On paper, Ninjas in Pyjamas performed better in the previous round of the LPL 2024 Spring Playoffs. On the other side, JD Gaming might’ve lost, but they played at a very high level.
JD Gaming are among the elite teams in the LPL, and LoL esports betting sites have them priced at -400 to win this bout. Ninjas in Pyjamas are capable of putting up a fight, but they’ve been consistently outmatched by the ‘big three’ and it’s unlikely that’ll change on Wednesday.

]]>The third round of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2024 Spring Playoffs will serve us with a clash between JD Gaming and Weibo Gaming. The two Chinese LoL sides last met in the penultimate week of the regular season, when Weibo won; however, they’re priced as heavy underdogs for the rematch.
Weibo Gaming haven’t looked great this split. They’ve lacked consistency and had issues in the mid and late game. However, they have improved as the season has gone on and played some of their best games in the final weeks — including their 2-0 sweep of JD Gaming.
Weibo Gaming enter the third round of the playoffs following two close but deserved victories against Invictus Gaming and LNG Esports. Playing 10 maps gives Weibo some momentum, but it also gives JD Gaming plenty of film to look over.
A majority of the time, Weibo Gaming pass the 20-minute mark with a gold deficit. While they have improved in that area of late, Weibo haven’t been reliably leveraging the rare early advantage they get.
JD Gaming are your typical stable LPL team that is solid in all areas of the game. They had a rough start but improved significantly in the latter stages of the split. So the question here is not so much whether JD can win, but rather what Weibo can do to cause an upset.
Assuming Weibo Gaming play to the best of their ability, they should be able to do some damage. But even then, it’s tough to believe they can take more than one map.

]]>Oh My God and Team WE will clash on Saturday, March 30, in the opening round of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2024 Spring playoffs. The two sides last met in the first week of the regular season, when OMG won, and there’s a good chance they’ll recreate that success on Saturday.
Team WE finished the regular season in ninth place, one below Oh My God, albeit with the same 8-8 record. Not only have the two teams won the same number of games, they also hold similar performance metrics.
Oh My God and Team WE both averaged just north of 1,800 gold per minute, and they hold similar first blood (40.5%–39.5%) and first tower (43.2%–48.6%) stats. Besides the numbers, OMG and WE also ended the LPL Spring regular season in concerning form.
Team WE had a strong start to the year but ended the group stage with four very concerning losses against Rare Atom, Top Esports, ThunderTalk Gaming, and LNG Esports. Their 2-0 sweep of UltraPrime in the final week was a nice bounceback, but WE’s results were far from great over the last three weeks.
Oh My God have been a mediocre team throughout the regular season. Still, they’ve had some elite performances, showing they have a high ceiling.
OMG will have side selection for this series — which, considering they have a +50% win rate on red side, might not mean much. However, Team WE are one of the league’s worst offside squads, which makes backing Oh My God to win the first map a very inviting option at -136.99 with top esports betting sites.

For Rare Atom, the LPL 2024 Spring split ended a couple of weeks ago, as they’ve managed just four wins across 15 series. On the other side, LNG Esports still have a shot at finishing the regular season in sixth place and securing a direct bye into the second round of the playoffs.
LNG Esports come into this match as heavy favourites with top esports betting sites. Unlike Rare Atom, who have lost their last three series, LNG are on a four-game winning streak.
LNG Esports’ recent resurgence is promising, as it was only a matter of time before they started performing at a high level. But even though LNG still have a lot more to prove, it seems unlikely they will struggle against this Rare Atom outfit.

Top Esports were by far the most dominant team in the LPL for most of the split and are unquestionably one of the LPL’s top three squads. They have so far lost only against Bilibili Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, and JD Gaming, but more importantly, Top Esports have been very consistent in crushing any weaker opponent.
While Ninjas in Pyjamas are talented enough to compete at the top level, their early game isn’t great. They are also passive and tend to gain leads by taking advantage of their opponent’s mistakes. This approach works against most LPL teams, but it won’t fly against Top Esports.
Stylistically, this will be a very tough match for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
