Seattle Surge suffered their second loss of Call of Duty League 2024 Major 4 last Sunday against Las Vegas Legion. In contrast, the Miami Heretics picked up their third victory of the stage against the Carolina Royal Ravens in a fairly one-sided series.

Both teams are 3-2 heading into this match, and they’ve both had their moments over the last three weeks. The Seattle Surge have shown higher highs, whereas Miami Heretics have seemed more stable with dominant wins against weaker teams and tough losses against superior squads.

The last two meetings between Seattle Surge and Miami Heretics extended to five maps, and considering their form, there’s a good chance we’ll see another close affair.

Atlanta FaZe and Toronto Ultra are guaranteed a top-eight finish this online stage, but there’s still pride on the line as the two CDL title contenders clash for the sixth time this season.

Of the five meetings, Toronto Ultra have won all but one — during CDL 2024 Major 3 Qualifiers — which includes a close 3-2 victory in the winners’ finals at the previous Call of Duty League Major. So not only have Toronto Ultra beaten FaZe online, but they’ve also proven to be the better team on LAN.

Even though Toronto Ultra have not accomplished as much as FaZe this season, they’re one of the few teams that can cause Atlanta FaZe problems. Admittedly, FaZe have looked much more potent over the last three weeks of CDL 2024 Major 4 Qualifiers, but this doesn’t justify them being priced as such big favourites. Value is with Toronto Ultra.

Las Vegas Legion have been very up and down so far in this online stage. They lost against Toronto Ultra in the first week, then picked up three wins against New York Subliners, OpTic Texas, and Seattle Surge, but lost their most recent outing against Los Angeles Guerrillas.

This confirms what was already known: the Legion are highly volatile, although capable of causing upsets.

The Los Angeles Thieves have not been as inconsistent with their showings. They have beaten teams they were expected to but also crumbled against Atlanta FaZe and Toronto Ultra last week — although the Thieves showed some resistance, namely on Hardpoint and Control maps.

Las Vegas Legion have shown high highs this online stage, but they’re not to be trusted when expected to do well. They’re also 0-2 down in the head-to-head with Los Angeles Thieves, which makes backing Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe and co. an easy choice.

Las Vegas Legion exited CDL 2024 Major 3 in the first round, which marked their worst LAN result of the season, but that was expected after what they showed in the qualifying stage.

Legion took a map in two of their three meetings with Ultra this season, but they’re now in worse form, whereas Toronto Ultra are improving. A 3-0 sweep seems likely.

Miami Heretics placed fifth-sixth at CDL Major 3, which is a massive improvement on their consecutive 9th-12th finishes in the first two LAN events. That result didn’t come easy, but Miami Heretics earned it with solid performances against the Las Vegas Legion and Los Angeles Thieves.

Their only loss of CDL 2024 Major 3 came against OpTic Texas, who beat them 3-1 in the third round of the lower bracket. That doesn’t sound too inspiring ahead of this fixture, but we can’t ignore Miami Heretics’ recent improvement.

By winning CDL 2024 Major 3, OpTic Texas earned the tag as the strongest CoD team in the league. They’re still 20 points short of catching up to FaZe in the season standings, yet their improvement since the second stage is noticeable.

It’s very difficult to doubt OpTic Texas and their chances to defeat Miami Heretics. Still, there’s a very good chance they drop a map — as OpTic typically do online.

Florida Mutineers are 0-4 with an abysmal 20% map win rate (3-12), so it’s fair to question their chances of defeating the Las Vegas Legion. But it’s not like the Legion are a top-tier team, and their performance last week was underwhelming, to say the least.

Las Vegas Legion need to win this match, and they likely will, but we don’t see them sweeping the Mutineers. This match can easily reach map five, so we’ll take a bit of a longshot bet and predict the Legion winning 3-2.

OpTic Texas look very strong heading into the final week of CDL Major 4 Qualifiers, but that doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to sweep everyone in their path – especially not the Boston Breach.

Boston Breach are 2-1 with wins against Toronto Ultra (3-2) and London Royal Ravens (3-1), while their only loss of CDL Major 4 Qualifiers came against Las Vegas Legion (1-3) on day one. Although not the loudest results, Boston Breach have shown good form over the last two months and shouldn’t be underestimated.

Boston Breach can be a bit inconsistent, but they usually do well when faced with the league’s top teams, so we can see them challenging OpTic. We like Boston with a map handicap.

Over 4.5 rounds is a bit of a longshot bet, but Las Vegas Legion have proven they can compete with the best, and Toronto Ultra have shown they can lose to anyone.

OpTic Texas have always been one of the toughest teams in the CDL, but based on their performances over the last month, they might be THE best team in the league ahead of the final Major. They claimed a silver medal from CDL Major 3 and have since beaten London Royal Ravens (3-0), New York Subliners (3-1), and Los Angeles Thieves (3-1) with ease.

Los Angeles Guerrillas are an entirely different story. They’ve yet to win or come close to winning a Major this season, and their performances though the last month have been very underwhelming. Particularly over the last two weeks, the Guerrillas have shown very little, with defeats against Minnesota R?KKR (1-3), Los Angeles Thieves (1-3), and Las Vegas Legion (2-3).

As the latest Call of Duty betting odds suggest, this is OpTic Texas’ game to lose, and it’s hard to find a reason to argue with that logic. Even though OpTic are known to drop maps, it’s unlikely for them to struggle against Los Angeles Guerrillas.

Seattle Surge finished the first week of CDL Major 4 Qualifiers with a 1-1 record, which is pretty impressive considering they had to face Los Angeles Thieves (1-3) and CDL Major 3 champions Toronto Ultra (3-2). They’re now left with a relatively easy schedule, needing to face Florida Mutineers, Los Angeles Guerrillas, and Atlanta FaZe, so without any major upsets, the Surge should reach the Major.

We’re giving the Mutineers the benefit of the doubt that they’ll win one map, but anything beyond that seems unlikely. Take Seattle Surge to win 3-1 on the correct score market.

Minnesota R?KKR won both of their series in Week 1 of CDL Major 4 Qualifiers against Florida Mutineers (3-0) and Los Angeles Thieves (3-1). Even though they didn’t play the best of the competition, going 2-0 is respectable, considering they went through a stage where they didn’t win a single match over eight series.

The sudden resurgence came shortly after the R?KKR replaced Dillon “Attach” Price with Kevin “Fame” Bonanno, and even though it’s tough to make any firm conclusions from the two wins, Minnesota R?KKR are playing better.

Still, they’ve yet to show enough to be considered serious title contenders. On the other side, the New York Subliners have done enough this season to be viewed as a strong team, but their recent slump puts an asterisk next to their status as live underdogs to win the CDL Championship.

They beat Atlanta FaZe (3-2) in game five last week, but we’ve seen it before where the Subliners played well against top teams but then blundered against weaker squads. The Subliners are the superior team on paper, but they’re not consistent enough to warrant a bet at the offered CDL betting odds.

New York Subliners might still win, but it won’t be as one-sided as the Call of Duty betting odds suggest.

PaulEhx has been struggling to perform on a sub and was one of the reasons why the London Royal Ravens haven’t looked as good lately.

If Ulisses can step up and deliver, London Royal Ravens can be a good team. They already showed flashes last stage, when they nearly took down OpTic Texas (2-3) and won against Toronto Ultra (3-2), so it’s fair to expect things to improve in the Royal Ravens camp.

The reigning CDL champions, Los Angeles Thieves, are fresh off a disappointing second-round exit from CDL Major 3, where the Thieves lost against Las Vegas Legion (1-3). Even though one poor tournament run doesn’t mean that Los Angeles Thieves are doomed, they’ve not been too consistent this season.

Particularly online, the Thieves haven’t produced any notable results, and still, they’re -277.78 favourites for this affair. On the one hand, the Royal Ravens are 5-14 this season, but they also won against Toronto Ultra and nearly took down OpTic without Ulisses.

At +200, we have to take a shot with London Royal Ravens. Some might prefer London Royal Ravens with a map advantage, which is not a bad choice at the offered CoD betting odds.

?Florida Mutineers are strong candidates to win the CDL 2023 wooden spoon, and if London Royal Ravens can keep improving, the Mutineers likely will finish the season bottom of the table. Even though we saw the Mutineers defeat Boston Breach (3-1) and New York Subliners (3-1), those were just two decent results of an otherwise very concerning record.

Placing third was disappointing, yet that’s more of an indication of the expectations everyone has of FaZe rather than a sign of FaZe struggling.

It’s tough to expect anything less than a 3-0 sweep for Atlanta FaZe.

Their only map victory of the qualifiers came against OpTic Texas on Saturday, but even though Paris Legion won a map against one of the league’s top teams, it’s not like OpTic are doing much better (1-3).

This is not a bet on Florida Mutineers to win, but rather a bet on Paris Legion to lose. They’re not playing well, and according to what we can see on social media, the morale in the team is at an all-time low.
