Along with the announcement of where and when both the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championships will be held, Riot also confirmed the start date for each region’s competitions.

However, the biggest change to the 2024 season will involve both the MSI and Worlds, as the winner of the Mid-Season Invitational will earn an automatic spot at LoL Worlds 2024, and the next best-performing region will gain an additional slot for their region at the World Championships.

Riot explained that they “want to continue increasing the stakes around MSI and create a stronger connection between MSI and Worlds”.

Although the winner of MSI will automatically qualify for Worlds later in the year, Riot has also announced that the team that qualifies for Worlds will need to commit to success and must qualify for their region’s summer playoffs.

Due to the changes, the LEC, LCK, LCS and LPL will have three Worlds slots, while the PCS and VCS will retain two slots, and the LLA and CBLOL will keep their singular slots.

The Mid-Season Invitational will be held in Chengdu, China, from May 1–19, and the World Championships will take place from September 25–November 2 across Europe, with Berlin, Paris and London set to host different stages of the tournament.

Finally, the start date of every regional tournament has been confirmed by Riot Games, with the list below displaying the start date of each season.

The CBLOL, was founded in 2012 as the highest level League of Legends tournament in Brazil and was previously known as the Riot Brazilian Champion League before being renamed the CBLOL in 2015.

As a result of the enormous success, Riot Games franchised the league, and 10 teams became permanent partners in advance of the CBLOL 1 Split 2021.

After a period of two years, it appears that Rensga will be leaving the franchise. Reports revealed that the company is in the process of re-organizing its management structure and will focus primarily on the production of content going forward.

In 2021, Rensga Esports paid Riot Games R$4 million (￡643,000) for the CBLOL franchising model when it had just been established. Although it has not been established for certain how much Fluxo paid for the placement, it is believed that the sum is greater than what Rensga paid.

Several credible sources have also revealed that another CBLOL team, the Miners, is in the process of selling its spot in the league and is in negotiations with potential suitors.

It has been reported that certain negotiations have reached an advanced stage; however, the identities of interested buyers have not been made public.

In the event that Miners are successful in selling their franchise spot, it will mark that three different CBLOL franchise negotiations have taken place this year.

In the early part of 2022, Los Grandes completed the acquisition of Simplicity Esports’ operations in Brazil. Included in this were its CBLOL franchise rights.

CBLOL Split 2 2022, which commenced June 11 and is set to end September 3, will be the fourth Brazilian League of Legends split held under the CBLOL banner.

The upcoming CBLOL Split 2 2022 match is between paiN Gaming and LOUD. The odds of paiN Gaming winning are 1.82, while the odds of LOUD winning are 2.00. This match is scheduled to begin on August 21, at 16:25 UTC, which is in four days.

CBLOL’s new franchise partner, Fluxo was established in January 2021 by esports superstars Bruno “Nobru” Goes and Lucio “Cerol” Lima. The company first gained notoriety with the mobile title Free Fire, a game in which its founders rose to fame as streamers and players.

The organization made the announcement about its expansion into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in August 2022, obtaining EstrelaBet as its primary partner in the process.

It is not known for certain whether or not there are sponsors associated with the League of Legends expansion due to the fact that Fluxo works with different sponsors for each of the esports competitions in which it participates.

The second-to-last week of the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL) regular season will kick off this Saturday with a clash between INTZ and paiN Gaming, who meet for the third time this split.

INTZ enter Week 9 of CBLOL 2020 Split 2 with a 10-6 record which ranks them second in the league, one win behind their next opponents and a win ahead of ?KaBuM! e-Sports and Santos e-Sports, who are tied in third with 9-7.

Ygor “RedBert” Freitas and co. have enjoyed the second split of the season much more than the first, where they finished in seventh place with an 8-13 record. That put them into CBLOL Split 2 Promotion series, where they came from behind to edge out Team oNe eSports 3-2 and retain their top-flight status.

INTZ’s struggles in Split 1 ushered the Brazilian esports organisation to sign top laner Yuri Gabriel “Yupps” Petermann, mid laner Gustavo “Hanor” Carrilo and substitute support Gabriel “Bounty” Donner. At the end of June, INTZ also announced the return of ADC Guilherme “Mills” Uessler Conti to the active roster after two months on the sidelines.

Despite all the new signings, INTZ did not make any changes to the five-man core that represented them throughout most of the Split 1. That is not necessarily a bad thing, however, as all five members have performed well towards the end of the campaign.

Top laner Rodrigo “Tay” Panisa is averaging similar numbers to what he showed in Split 1, jungler Diogo “Shini” Rogê and mid laner Bruno “Envy” Farias have improved slightly, whereas INTZ’s bottom lane of Micael “micaO” Rodrigues and RedBert have dropped from a shared 4.5 KDA to 3.2 and 3.7 respectively.

INTZ come into this clash on a three-game winning streak. Since their disappointing loss to Vivo Keyd in Week 7, they have picked up commanding wins against KaBuM! e-Sports, FURIA and most recently Flamengo eSports.

PaiN Gaming sit top of the CBLOL standings with an 11-5 record and 69% win rate. As is the case with INTZ, not many people expected paiN to be so high up the ladder considering they managed only a sixth-place finish in Split 1 with a 10-11 record.

The league leaders have lost only to KaBuM! e-Sports, Prodigy Esports, Santos e-Sports (twice) and Vivo Keyd this split, but they have also beaten all four of those teams. However, two of their five defeats this split have come in the past four games.

Against Prodigy, paiN failed to establish an early-game dominance, which eventually cost them the win. The same thing happened against Santos. However, paiN were impressive in their wins against FURIA and Flamengo eSports, so the form is not all bad.

PaiN Gaming have already defeated INTZ twice this split, so they ought to be priced as short favourites.

Comparing the individual performances of paiN’s and INTZ’s players, the former come out ahead by a significant margin in all but the top lane, where Leonardo “Robo” Souza (2.4 KDA and 25.3% damage share) and Tay (2.7 KDA and 21.7% damage share) look to match up nicely.

The biggest difference will come in the mid lane, where paiN’s Thiago “Tinowns” Sartori is undoubtedly the hottest mid laner in the league with an astounding 10.9 KDA and 25.5% damage share. There are cases to be made for INTZ to spring upset, but their early-game is not nearly solid enough for us to believe they can exploit paiN’s biggest weakness. Hence, siding with the favourites to cover the kill handicap is the way to go.

Bvoy’s arrival at Flamengo marks his first-ever venture in the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL). The 22-year-old Korean is one of the most well-travelled pros in the game, having competed in six other regional leagues in a career spanning four years.

Bvoy started his career with WaY in Challengers Korea (CK) before moving to China, where he played for Star Horn Royal Club (now Royal Club) and Young Miracles in the LoL Secondary Pro League (LSPL) and LoL Development League (LDL). His big break came in December 2018, when he signed up with the reigning League of Legends Pro League (LPL) champions, JD Gaming.

After a four-month stint with JDG, Bvoy left to play for Argentinian esports organisation Furious Gaming in the Liga Latinoamérica (LLA), where he helped his team finish third in the 2019 Closing Season and fifth in the playoffs. In December 2019, he joined Misfits Gaming as a replacement for Steven “Hans sama” Liv, who had left for Rogue following a disappointing run through the 2019 LEC season.

With Bvoy, Misfits saw more success in the 2020 LEC Spring Split. They finished the regular season in fifth place with a 10-8 record, which earned them a spot in the playoffs. There, however, the team lost in the first round of the losers’ bracket against Rogue (1-3) to wind up in sixth place.

Bvoy ended the regular season with respectable marks, holding onto a 4.39 KDA, 9.33 CSPM, 65.1% KPAR and 25.4% KS. Although his numbers were not exactly phenomenal, the Korean ADC managed to carry his weight and played a pivotal role in his team’s success.

Despite his above-average numbers, Misfits sacrificed Bvoy to pursue a golden opportunity to sign former Splyce and Team SoloMid ADC Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup, who was left jobless following TSM’s controversial acquisition of Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng at the end of April.

Kobbe is widely regarded as one of the best European ADCs. He played a crucial role in Splyce’s incredible run through the 2019 season, helping his team finish as runners-up at the LEC 2019 Regional Finals. He also helped the Europeans reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 LoL World Championship, where they lost to the three-time world champions SK Telecom T1 (now T1). After Splyce rebranded to MAD Lions, Kobbe left Europe to team up with Team SoloMid.

Kobbe left a positive mark during his time in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), finishing the regular season with a 5.22 KDA, 9.59 CSPM, 67.5% KPAR and 23.9% KS. Although TSM struggled in the early weeks of the season, the six-time LCS champions clawed their way into the second round of the playoffs, where they lost to eventual finalists FlyQuest.

At Flamengo eSports, Bvoy will take over for Luis Felipe “Absolut” Carvalho and team up with another Korean player, Han “Luci” Chang-hoon, who joined the team in December.
