The beginning of Fnatic’s participation in the Halo Infinite esports scene has not gone as smoothly as the team intended.
Fnatic, which has been saddled with a string of dismal outcomes ever since its delayed selection of a lineup in January, has undertaken its first significant roster changes before the North American Championship Series and the Halo Championship Series in Orlando later this year.
Envore has been removed from the active Fnatic roster and is now free to pursue new possibilities. His replacement will make his debut appearance?in the upcoming HCS Open Series competition.
During their time as part of the partnered organisation, the Fnatic lineup has spent the past five months fighting a losing battle to earn a spot among the top eight teams in the continent of North America.
Fnatic’s evaluators saw encouraging traits?in the players Envore, SuperCC, Sceptify and Juziro while they were competing at HCS Raleigh the previous year.
As a result, Fnatic decided to acquire the players and add them to their team. On a few occasions, traces of that brilliance have arisen, like in a highly competitive?series versus Cloud9 at HCS Anaheim, which saw the not so promising?squad come dangerously close to defeating the event’s reigning champions.
That small signs of potential have not materialized into actual achievements for Fnatic. They have never finished in the top eight in a major event, and more often than not, they have had to settle for finishing in the top 12.
The lack of growth and the company’s worry of reaching a standstill pushed the squad to keep action during what is essentially an offseason for Halo Infinite as it waits for the online Super to begin in August.
Although the team has not yet revealed who would take Envore’s position, there are currently a handful of notable players available for transfer. However, the probability of individuals like Bubu Dubu being added to the roster is minimal, and there are still options open on teams of a better level, such as G1, with whom he has been practicing with more lately.
Fnatic will be expecting that the move, irrespective of who the player is, will enable them to climb to the high levels of the professional Halo scene.
