Another huge week of esports kicks off on April 8, 2024, as Counter-Strike 2 takes the focus of the esports world.
The Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu (also known as IEM Spring) event will kick off on April 8, with 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams taking their place in Chengdu, China.
Meanwhile, the European (LEC) and Korean (LCK) League of Legends leagues will conclude on Sunday, April 14.

IEM Chengdu
IEM Chengdu will begin on Monday, April 8 and the grand final is set to be played April 14.
Of the 16 teams, five of them are ranked inside the top 10 in the world rankings, which should ensure that top-tier Counter-Strike will be played throughout.
Esports betting sites have FaZe Clan marked as the favourite at +225 ahead of MOUZ and G2 Esports, who sit on the second line of betting together at +350, to claim the IEM Chengdu title.

League of Legends (LCK & LEC)
With the Mid-Season Invitational beginning on May 1 in Chengdu, China, the top LoL leagues will conclude their opening split of the 2024 season.
Gen.G will clash with either T1 or Hanwha Life Esports in the grand final of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) on April 14, while G2 Esports is already in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) grand final, awaiting Team BDS, Team Vitality, or Fnatic to meet with them on Sunday, April 14.
