The top six teams from DreamHack Dallas automatically qualified for the tournament, and the remaining 10 teams will have to qualify through the regional qualifiers in the lead-up.
Rainbow Six Siege US$2,000,000
Rainbow Six Siege has been part of Gamers8 since the inaugural edition of the Saudi-run festival, and it will return under the Esports World Cup banner in 2024. The 16 teams will have to qualify through the regional closed qualifiers in Brazil, North America, Europe, LATAM, Asia, South Korea, Japan, Oceania and MENA to compete in the event.
Dota 2 Riyadh Masters US$5,000,000
The Dota 2 Riyadh Masters will feature in the Esports World Cup with a massive US$5 million prize pool, with the event taking place from July 4–21. The top eight teams on the EPT Leaderboard received direct invites to the group stage, while the other 12 teams had to earn their way into the event through regional qualifiers.
EA Sports FC 24 US$1,000,000
Following the change over from FIFA to EA Sports FC 24, the Esports World Cup has kept much-loved soccer game in its pool of tournaments. Although there were two different tournaments that ran during the Gamers8 festival, there will only be one at the Esports World Cup, with 16 players taking their place in the four-day long event.
EA Sports FC EWC 2024
StarCraft 2 US$1,000,000
Another legendary esports title that made its debut at the 2023 Gamers8 festival was StarCraft 2, and it will return at the Esports World Cup after a successful maiden event last year. In total, 18 players will compete in the 1v1 US$1,000,000 Starcraft Esports World Cup tournament, which will take place from August 14–18.
PUBG US$2,000,000
PUBG will return to Riyadh at the Esports World Cup, with the top 24 PUBG teams from all over the world competing in the five-day tournament from August 21–25. The teams will battle it out for a share in the US$2 million prize pool, but more importantly, the PUBG Global Series Points to try and qualify for the 2024 PUBG Global Championship later in the year.
PUBG Mobile US$3,000,000
The PUBG Mobile World Cup will remain one of the biggest mobile tournaments of it’s time, offering $3 million in prize money at the 2024 Esports World Cup. The top 28 PUBG mobile teams from all over the world will make their way to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to compete in the 10-day event from July 19–28.
CS2 US$1,000,000
Counter-Strike 2 was one of the new additions to the Gamers8 festival in 2023, and it will return to the Esports World Cup in 2024, with a 15-team and five-day tournament kicking off on July 17. Top CS2 teams from all over the world will take their place in Riyadh, and they will be battling it out for their own share in the $1 million prize pool.
Rocket League US$250,000
Rocket League has featured at every Gamers8 festival since the inaugural year in 2022, and the game will return under the Esports World Cup banner in 2024. The four-day-long event is scheduled to run from August 22–25.
League of Legends US$1,000,000

Apex Legends US$2,000,000
Apex Legends will make its debut in Saudi Arabia and take its place in the Esports World Cup. The top 40 Apex Legends teams will compete in the five-day event with a massive US$2 million prize pool up for grabs, with the winner taking home a cool US$600,000 and 1,000 Club Points for their organisation.
Overwatch 2 US$1,000,000
Overwatch 2 will make its debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the Blizzard Entertainment title was not invited to take place in the Gamers8 festival in the previous two years. However, since the introduction of Overwatch 2 and the Overwatch Champions Series, the Esports World Cup has added it to the schedule for the inaugural year. Sixteen of the world’s best Overwatch 2 teams will take their place in the US$1 million tournament.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III US$1,800,000
Call of Duty will make its debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the inaugural edition of the Esports World Cup, with 16 of the best Call of Duty teams set to take their place in the four-day tournament. With the tournament carrying a massive prize pool of $1.8 million, it is expected that the competition will be at the highest level and the arena will be packed with spectators throughout the event.
Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason US$3,000,000
Honor of Kings will feature at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time, with the Esports World Cup adding the title to its list of tournaments for the inaugural edition. The Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason event will begin on August 1 and run through August 4, where the world’s best 12 Honor of Kings teams will compete in the US$3 million tournament. Due to HoK not featuring at the previous Gamers8 festivals, it is expected that the arena will be packed with spectators for every day of the event.
Club Championship prize pool
The US$60 million prize pool for the Esports World Cup includes a new Club Championship, which will have its own US$20 million pool where esports organisations will earn points based on where they finish in each tournament.
