Tundra Esports look set to achieve great things this tour, mainly because their roster has stuck together for nearly a year and they had an excellent run in the back half of the last season. So not only will Tundra have an advantage over squads who have made roster changes, Adrian “Fata” Trinks and co. also have the talent required to compete with the best – as seen last week when they demolished Alliance.
Nigma Galaxy missed Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi for their series against Team Tickles (0-2) after the Jordanian Dota 2 esports pro announced he would be taking a break. It’s still unclear whether he will return for this bout, but it likely won’t matter.
Even with Miracle-, we would fade Nigma Galaxy, and their defeat against Team Tickles only further confirms our preference for Tundra Esports. Take the favourites to cover the map handicap.

OG stunned Team Secret (2-0) on November 30 to kick off the 2021/22 DPC season with a bang. Likewise, Team Liquid grabbed their first win of the season last week when they stomped Coolguys (2-0).
OG’s win was unexpected; however, we have to acknowledge that Secret opted for weird drafts, which made it seem like they underestimated OG’s new roster. Still, OG played with a lot of discipline, so it’s not like they didn’t earn the win.
Similarly, Liquid impressed us with their performance, and even though they faced a weaker opponent, Liquid looked surprisingly strong. This is a match that can go either way, and while we could be in for a close series, we expect one team to take over from the start and close it out in two maps.

DPC WEU 2021/22 Tour 1 Division I outright pick
We’re adding an outright prediction on Tundra Esports to win the division at +400. Even though it’s very early, Tundra have shown enough for us to believe they’re strong candidates to go all the way. And that is mainly because Tundra’s main rivals – OG, Team Liquid, and Team Secret – have all made roster changes and will need some time to find traction.
It’s also worth noting that Tundra Esports added Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling as their head coach at the end of November, further boosting their chances. Besides that, we have to remember that this roster came just one map short of qualifying for The International 10, losing 2-3 to the old OG roster.
As for their other accomplishments at the tail end of the 2020/21 DPC season, Tundra won ESL One Fall 2021 and finished OGA Dota PIT Invitational in third, where they lost only against TI10 favourites PSG.LGD and the eventual champions, Team Spirit.
